Curacao has made the short list of finalists in the 'Favorite Caribbean Destination' category in the 2013 About.com Readers' Choice Awards.

This was one of the many awards that the Caribbean island won in 2012, a banner year that included a 'Honeymoon Hot Spot' award from Conde Nast Traveler.

Pristine Dive Sites
Curacao is known for its pristine dive sites and spectacular snorkeling at secluded beaches. The island offers idyllic weather and a perfect location outside of the Hurricane Belt. The capital city of Willemstad is one of just six sites in the Caribbean deemed a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering a unique mix of history and culture.
